Staying Connected with HTX Swims
At HTX Swims, we want to make it as easy as possible for families to stay on top of practices, meets, and team events. We use two main tools for communication:
GroupMe – Quick Updates & Team Chat
Each practice group (Comp 1–4, Senior, HS Conditioning, Masters, etc.) has its own GroupMe chat. This is where you’ll see:
Weather updates (practice cancellations, location changes)
Meet-day reminders and timeline changes
Quick practice notes (equipment reminders, schedule tweaks)
Fun updates, team spirit, and photos
Think of GroupMe as the “real-time” conversation—if something changes last minute, you’ll see it here first.
Google Calendar – Your Main Schedule
We keep all official schedules in Google Calendar so your family can plan ahead. By subscribing to your swimmer’s group calendar, you’ll always have:
Practice schedules (by group and pool location)
Meet dates with links to event details and sign-ups
Registration deadlines, team events, and breaks
Google Calendar is your “big picture” tool—once you subscribe, updates automatically sync to your phone or computer.
How They Work Together
Google Calendar = long-term planning (the what, when, and where).
GroupMe = real-time updates and reminders.
Used together, these tools keep every HTX Swims family connected and informed—no surprises, just smooth swimming!
