Dream Big | HTX Swims Competitive Team

  • Competitive Age Group 1

    Ages 10 & Under

    Designed for swimmers ages 10 and under who are ready to develop skills in all four competitive strokes. Participants should be able to swim 25 yards and typically have legal freestyle and backstroke.

    Each practice introduces HTX Swims concepts and skill sets, building a strong foundation in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly while developing confidence, body control, and efficient technique.

    Practices 4x Per Week for 45 mins- 1 Hour.

  • Competitive Age Group 2

    Ages 8–12 Years of Age

    Designed for swimmers ages 8–10 progressing into the second tier of the HTX Swims program, as well as 11- and 12-year-olds entering competitive swimming. Swimmers should be efficient or legal in all four competitive strokes and may be working toward—or already achieving—BB time standards.

    Each practice focuses on a specific technique or concept that supports continued development across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

    Practices 4x Per Week for 45 mins- 1 Hour.

  • Competitive Age Group 3

    Ages 9 -12 Years of Age

    Designed for active, committed swimmers who can swim all four competitive strokes efficiently. Swimmers in this group are typically 9–12 years old.

    Practices introduce age-appropriate training and conditioning while maintaining a strong emphasis on stroke technique and mechanics. This balanced approach helps swimmers improve efficiency, build endurance, and prepare for continued progression in competitive swimming.

    Practices: 5x Per Week for 1 Hour and 30 MIns.

  • Competitive Age Group 4

    Ages 11 & Older

    Designed for committed swimmers, typically ages 11–14, who have developed a higher level of skill in all four competitive strokes.

    Practices combine stroke refinement and technique correction with progressive conditioning and endurance training. Consistent attendance is expected to help swimmers maintain fitness, build momentum, and continue advancing in the sport.

    Practices: 6x Per Week for 1 Hour and 45 Mins - 2 Hours.

  • High School Conditioning

    Ages 12 & Older

    Designed for swimmers ages 13 and older who want to improve their fitness and skills for an upcoming school season or maintain their progress during the off-season.

    This group gives swimmers the opportunity to work toward their individual goals while balancing school, sports, and other outside activities.

    Practices: 5x per week, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes per session.

  • Seniors

    Senior Group: Ages 13 & Older

    Designed for experienced high school swimmers who demonstrate consistent practice attendance, a complete understanding of competitive swimming skills and drills, the ability to train at a high level, and a commitment to year-round swimming with HTX Swims.

    Swimmers in this group are typically 14 years and older. They compete year-round with HTX Swims and represent their high schools and/or participate in USA Swimming championship meets.

    Practices: 6x Per Week for 2 Hours.
